Limericks are five-line humorous verses with fixed patterns of rhyme and metre.
Using the foliowing guide, work iii pairs or small groups to write your own limerick. The
words in blanks 1, 2, 5, and 6 should rhyme; the worcis in blanks 3 and 4 should rhyme. Notice
that blanks 2 and 5 contain the same word. See the sample limerick for an example:
There once was a student named (1)______NAME
Who wanted lo dance with a/an (2) __________THING
She tried not to ___________ it(3) VERB
But she happened to __________ it(4) VERB
So the _________ ended up in her _________

There once was a student named Trish
