Auroville 是靠近南印度 Puducherry 省，位於 Tamil Nadu 省 Viluppuram 地區的一個「文化村落」（cultural township），一個被聯合國教科文組織（UNESCO）支持的一座「模範的城市」（a model city）、理想之城。Auroville 的名稱來自於法文：auro 是黎明，ville 是城市；所以 Auroville，就是「黎明之城」的意思。這座創立迄今第 39 年、啟發自印度智者 Sri Aurobindo 的城市，被聯合國教科文組織主席Koichiro Matsuura（松浦晃一郎） 視為是 UNESCO 價值的體現、呈現著人類多樣性當中的一致性。
